Full Description:
The opening of an Extra Innings sports facility in Laurel last Saturday means that Prince George's County now has two indoor baseball and softball training centers. With 24,000 square feet of hitting and pitching tunnels, coin-operated batting cages, and members' training and private-party areas, the facility at 8610 Cherry Lane is about one-third bigger than the one in Upper Marlboro. The franchise operations offer year-round private and group instruction, and clinics and camps staffed by professional players, college stars, and area high school and college coaches.
